Фильм о том, как простая официанточка построила гения-невротика. Очень точно, с деревенской хитрецой, поняв его слабые места, и , соответственно, утвердившись в его жизни. Много таких историй - никакие женщины, которые оказались рядом с талантами и умели манипулировать, браво. А потом их называли музами. Что-то они давали гениям однозначно.
Красиво снято, чувствуешь шуршание роскошной материи.
С грибочками интересная тема, главное, не переборщить.
Сюжета особо нет, так, наблюдение. Но смотреть приятно, завораживает. Кино.

Смотрела-слушала, пока баловалась акварелью. Отметила для себя интересную вещь: винтажные обои и текстиль марки William Morris в их столовой называются, по-моему, Peacock and Vine, что схоже с фамилией главного героя - Woodcock... Не думаю, что здесь какой-то скрытый смысл, просто совпадение. А какая музыка великолепная! Однако, многим фильм покажется скучноват. Очень уж он камерный.

Да, актеры бесподобны, а изображаемая ими любовная коллизия тонка и необычна. Но если вынести все это за скобки, то оставшуюся часть фильма можно смело отнести к его недостаткам. Ибо как ни крути, а смакуемые режиссером нюансы работы элитного ателье 50-х - картинка что называется на большого любителя. Она не увлекает зрелищностью, не сообщает откровений и не добавляет знаний. А потому невольно думаешь, что будь герой не кутюрье, а скажем, автогонщиком, все было бы не в пример динамичней:))) А так, получилось то, что обычно именуется "фильмом настроения". Вот сидите вы за городом, за окнами - снег, в камине потрескивают дровишки... тогда картина придется "в тему". Если же вы пришли домой после трудового дня и хотите расслабиться, не советовал бы это включать. Уснете!
